PhoneCam

Use your iPhone as a wireless webcam and microphone for your Windows 11 PC. Works over your own Wi-Fi, nothing leaves your network.

PhoneCam is two halves: the iPhone app is the camera, the Windows app below receives it and shows up in Zoom, Teams, Meet or OBS as a normal camera called "PhoneCam". You need both.

Setup

  1. Install the PhoneCam iPhone app from the App Store.
  2. On the PC, run PhoneCamSetup.exe. Leave "Start PhoneCam at login" ticked. Windows 11 is required: the camera uses the Windows 11 virtual camera framework.
  3. For the microphone, install VB-CABLE (free virtual audio cable, the installer points you there if it's missing), then reboot once. Skip this if you only want video.
  4. Open the PhoneCam app on your iPhone, pick your PC from the list, and start streaming. Hold the phone in landscape.
  5. In Zoom, Teams, Meet, Discord or OBS, choose "PhoneCam" as your camera and "CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)" as your microphone.

Phone and PC must be on the same Wi-Fi / LAN. If Windows asks about network access on first run, allow it for private networks. Video is 720p or 1080p at 30 fps, H.264 hardware-encoded on the phone.
