The owl is thinking of a famous person. Ask yes/no questions in your own words, then guess the name. You start with 100 points. Each question costs 5 points. A Journey clue uses one hint credit, costs 5 points and counts as one question toward stars. Name the person to win what is left.
Ask the owl for a hint, or tap Ask the owl. It may also offer a clue when you are stuck. Each Journey level has three clues; clues you unlock stay available on retries. With no hint credits left, the app offers optional hint packs, and never buys one automatically. Say or type "I give up" to end a Journey round at zero points. The person's name stays secret so you can retry.
Reopen the app. Purchases that could not be delivered are retried automatically on launch, and the credits appear as soon as one gets through. If they still have not arrived after a minute with a working connection, email us with the date and rough time of the purchase.
Ten starter attempts and two hints on a new device. After starter attempts are used, three free attempts refresh at midnight UTC each day. Daily attempts do not accumulate. Optional packs add 10, 25 or 200 games, or 5 or 15 hints. Unused purchased credits do not expire. Version 1.6 includes the new hint packs and input preference; earlier iPhone versions may show fewer options.
New players start with voice after allowing microphone and speech recognition access. The first round shows Speak. Tap the question field to type; the app remembers that choice. Tap the microphone to switch back. Typing works even if you deny voice permissions.
It happens — it is a language model. Email us the person and the question and we will look at it.
